Dr. Konstantinos Anastassakis MD is a board-certified Head & Neck Surgeon since 2009. He obtained his Ph.D. from the Medical School of the Democritus University of Thrace in Greece in 2010.
After completing his 5-year residency in Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Athens General Hospital “G. Genimatas”, he was offered an honorary fellowship in ENT Surgery at Universitätsklinik für Hals-Nasen-Ohrenheilkunde, Kopf- und Halschirurgie.
He received an extensive training in Medical Hair Restoration amongst some of the most prestigious clinics and surgeons in New York, Los Angeles, and Vancouver.

In 2010 he launched his first practice office exclusively dedicated in Hair Restoration, Anastasakis Hair Clinic. In 2017 he relocates his Hair Transplant Clinic in Chalandri (Athens north, Greece) and at the end of 2020 he presents a second Hair Transplant Clinic in Glyfada (Athens south, Greece).
Since the beginning of his career as a hair restoration surgeon until today, Dr. Anastasakis performs himself all hair transplant surgeries in his clinic, always leading his 3 surgical teams aiming for the best result for each patient. He personally operates and supervises in all surgeries while, for more than ten years, he has consulted and guided thousands of hair loss patients.
Dr. Anastasakis dedicated all his skills and activities to the recognition of good practices in the field of surgical hair restoration. The correct information and the overall improvement of the experience in the service of the patients but also the evolution of the knowledge and the specialization for the doctors of the field is the way he has chosen to offer his knowledge and the specialization.

Memberships and Accreditations

He is one of the 220 Diplomates of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery (ABHRS) worldwide and has been awarded the experience route accreditation after written and oral exams in 2015. He has been successively elected treasurer, secretary, and Vice President to the Board of Governors of the ABHRS from 2017 to 2021. Since 2017, he has been one of the examiners in the ABHRS annual written and oral exams.
He is also a Fellow Member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS), participating each year in the Annual World Congress of the ISHRS, often as a presenter or other. In the last decade he has taken an active part in dozens of conferences and scientific workshops concerning:

• the developments in hair transplantation,
• the evaluation and standardization of patients’ medical information,
• the organization of nursing teams,
• patient management
• the organization of a doctor’s practice and the use of new technologies for the evaluation / examination / information and treatment of hair transplant patients.

He offers his services as a non-profit member in various ISHRS committees for patient safety, but also in live surgery workshops for the specialization of young doctors who want to practice hair transplantation.
He is a founding member and President of the Hellenic Academy of Hair Restoration Surgery (ELAMAT- HAHRS), which is the national / local branch of ISHRS. ELAMAT is a non-profit company with founding members doctors of different specialties who are actively involved in Hair Restoration. It is the Global Council Member of the ISHRS, abiding to the principles, purposes, rules, and guidelines of ISHRS and ABHRS.
Through his active work in the global scientific communities of ABHRS and ISHRS, he has taken on positions and roles to protect patients against the growing activity of illegal hair transplant clinics and the problem of unlicensed non-physicians performing hair restoration surgeries and also, he works on to secure Institutional Principles of Medical Requirements, Standards and Procedures for Hair Transplantation.

From the beginning Dr. Anastasakis noted the need of the public for immediacy in communication with doctors but also for better access to documented information. He developed a new experience of communicating with the public, using all the available technology and social networking platforms. On YouTube he created the only channel in Greece exclusively dedicated in hair transplantation. The channel hosts more than 350 videos related to patient stories, answers to their questions, frequently asked questions and a number of topics about hair transplantation. The acceptance of the public is unprecedented, as the channel within 4 years exceeded 9,000,000 views and 200,000 hours of watching time in total. For this unique way of communicating, Dr. Anastasakis was awarded as Influencer Hair Restoration Doctor at the Influencer Awards 2020 in Greece, in the Best Brand Storytelling by an Influencer section.
